"Suitcase Success and a Vase Hunt"

Ferrit had spent the weekend searching for a suitcase to put all her crafty gears in and transport them from home to market. Whilst strolling in a cute little village called Yarraville in Melbourne she came across a secondhand and antique shop filled with lots of interesting goods. She spotted an old suitcase that would be perfect for the job

Ferrit had also been on the hunt for some new vases to put her roses in and found two in the same shop. She was going to continue her hunt as she needed a few more for her upcoming stall at Craft Hatch in a couple of weeks time

"Hatching Soon"

Ferrit was happy to have been accepted into her very first craft market in Melbounre, Craft Hatch at the State Library of Victoria, March 12. She was still in the process of looking for a part time job and somewhere to live so was pleased she had until March to get a little more organised

"The Big Move"

Ferrit had some exciting but sad news to report. She had decided to cross the ditch and move to Melbourne to live. She was sad to be leaving all her friends, family and market buddies but was excited for a new adventure and crafting endeavors.

Ferrit had been packing for days trying to squeeze all her things into boxes and suitcases ready to be shipped over. She was taking all her crafting gears with her and would be continuing to make things when living in Melbourne. She was also looking at setting up an online store in the next month or so and would have news about this after she had settled.

Ferrit wanted to thank all the lovely people that supported and encouraged her throughout the last year and made it possible for her to continue doing what she loves. She hoped all her New Zealand buddies and market friends would keep in touch.

Goodbye lovely land of the long white cloud, see you again soon

"Done and Dusted"

Ferrit had had a very busy few weeks leading up to all her Xmas markets and had finally finished all her crafting to do's. She would be having a little break between Christmas and New Year, but would be back in action January 2011.

Ferrit wanted to say thank you to everyone who supported her throughout the year and wish them all a safe and happy Christmas.

"Stampity Stamp Stamp"

Last week Ferrit made her very own hand carved lino stamp to put on her new paper bags for upcoming Christmas markets.

She also cut some scalloped edges on the bags just for a little finishing touch. Ferrit knew she had a busy week ahead of her, crafting up a storm of new things for the Christmas Auckland Art and Craft Fair this Saturday

"Come for a Wander"

It was only one more sleep until the First Thursdays relaunch and Ferrit was excited to be part of the St Kevins Arcade Craft Market run by the lovely Jessica from Foxes. There was going to be all sorts of interesting things to discover along Krd including artwork, live performances, music and crafts and she suggested everyone should come for a wander.
